Road Rage Leads to Assault Charges - January 24, 2013

(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) - On Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at approximately 8:40 am Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received a call regarding a disturbance with 2 males fighting at the gas pumps at the Esso Station on Trafalgar Road in Hillsburgh, Town of Erin.

Investigation revealed that there was an interaction between the 2 males while driving. The one male pulled into the gas station and up to the pumps, followed by the second male. The second male approached the first male and punched him in the face, through the open window while he was still seated in his vehicle.

The male exited his vehicle and the altercation continued until witnesses separated them. The male suspect left the scene prior to police however, a detailed description of the suspect and vehicle was obtained by witnesses and given to police.

Raymond Forestell aged 55 of Caledon has been charged with Assault contrary to the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on March 5, 2013 to answer to the charge.
