South Wellington OPP Reports - January 28, 2013

GUELPH WOMAN CHARGED WITH REFUSE AND IMPAIRED CARE AND CONTROL (GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) - On Friday, January 25, 2013 at approximately 2:44 pm Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received a call regarding a female driver slumped over the wheel of a Ford Escape towing a hotdog stand. The vehicle was stopped on the north side of Highway 7 just west of County Road 29 in Guelph-Eramosa Township.

Police and EMS arrived at the scene and spoke to the driver. Police determined that she had been drinking and was cleared medically by paramedics.

The driver was arrested for Impaired Care and Control and was transported to the Rockwood Operation Centre where she refused to provide breath samples.

Janina Ketis aged 57 of Guelph has been charged with Impaired Care and Control and Refuse to Provide Breath Sample contrary to the Criminal Code. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on February 12, 2013 to answer to the charges.
