DRIVER CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED AFTER COLLISION

(TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH-ERAMOSA, ON) - On November 24, 2017 approximately 12:50 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on County 51, Township of Guelph-Eramosa.

Officers arrived and found the driver had driven off the roadway into a culvert. While speaking to the driver officers believed her to be impaired by alcohol.

23-year-old Angelia HERSHEY of Arthur has been charged with Driving with Over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood and Impaired Driving, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. She is scheduled to attend Guelph Court on December 19, 2017.

DRUNK DRIVER LOCATED AT SIDE OF ROAD

(TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH, ON) - On November 25, 2017 approximately 9:40 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting patrol on Lake Road, Township of Puslinch. Officer stopped to speak with a driver of a 1999 GMC Jimmy who was parked at the side of the road near County 32.

While speaking with the driver officers believed him to be under the influence of alcohol. A Roadside Screening test was conducted which resulted in a fail. He was arrested and transported to a local OPP Detachment for further testing.

60-year-old Daniel OAKES of Copetown, has been charged with Care or Control over 80 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. He was also charged with Possession of Schedule 1 Drugs and having open alcohol. He is scheduled to attend Guelph Court on December 22, 2017.
